About Us
We are Jonas, Lisa, and our little baby boy. We love life, discovering new places, genuine community – and of course, really good coffee. For us, coffee is much more than just a pick-me-up. It fosters connection, unites people, tells stories, and brings those very special good vibes that don't need explaining – you simply feel them.
In 2023–2024, we traveled through Australia in our van. It was a journey that shaped us. In a country where coffee isn't just drunk, but a way of life, we experienced coffee culture in a completely new way. Third-wave roasters in every city, small independent cafés with a passion for quality, perfection in every flat white, and baristas who see latte art not as a trend, but as a craft. Australia showed us that coffee is a lifestyle—part of culture, community, and daily ritual.
That's where we first discovered freckles – a small, typically Australian coffee treat. A "freckle" is essentially a piece of chocolate, usually round, sprinkled with colorful mini sugar pearls (nonpareils). They're simple, colorful, sweet, and make you happy – and they go perfectly with a fresh flat white or cappuccino as a little treat on the side. In many cafes, you'll find them next to your espresso – a small detail that brings a smile to your face. These are exactly the kinds of moments we love.
And yes – coffee even plays a role in our love story. We met during the pandemic when all the cafes were closed. So Jonas spontaneously decided to play barista himself and tried to create a heart in the milk foam on our first date. With each subsequent date, his latte art got a little better – and eventually, it was clear: the rest is history.
Today we want to share this very atmosphere with you: the feeling of warmth, community, adventure, enjoyment, and the simple joy that comes with a good cup of coffee. Coffee connects people – and we're delighted that you're part of this journey.
